This four-section layout visually represents the children’s story “The Little Dragon,” orally performed by Jay O’Callahan. The story walks through the journey to self-confidence, as a little dragon learns how to breathe fire again. Each panel contains colors, shapes, and visual movement that are coherent with the mood of each story segment.

DESIGN PROCESS
This is an example of how I created the layout for each story panel (in this case, the top left image). While listening to the story’s audio, the flute music inspired the gentle, wispy lines. I used a combination of writing and sketching to stimulate each design solution.
