This acrylic linoleum block print consisted of 78 9x12 inch prints on the wall of an art gallery, as a part of my Senior Thesis exhibition. The warm-colored couch I used for the exhibition pairs nicely with the cool tones of the print, creating a captivating design. MY PROCESS
First, I mapped out the design in my sketchbook and then transferred it into Adobe Illustrator to prototype what it would look like on a larger scale. Once I was satisfied with the design, I transferred the pattern onto a piece of 9x12 paper which I put on top of a linoleum block, and then I carved the design into the surface. Using acrylic paint, I stamped the block onto the wall 78 times.
